Pinterest is the social media platform for photo sharing that allows users to generate and share photos which are theme based such as events; Facebook, Music and hobbies.Users are provided with Pinboards for managing and creation of images. On Facebook the users can hit Like button if they like any image or photo in the same in Pinterest user can’re-pin’ image which they find interesting.

Pinterest development was started in December 2009 and was finally launched in March 2010. In Pinterest users can save, sort  and manage images and can also have a collection of videos known as Pinboards. Many pinboards can be created based on themes of your choice by using Pin it you can easily add the particular relevant image to the pinboard. Content can also be imported from outside sources and collected which in future be exported to the website.

Now Pinterest has made easy for users to directly link their Pinterest account with Facebook or Twitter profile. If the user re-pin other users image that can be notified to the users added in the Facebook or Twitter account. Blogger has added a feature for users to pin their blog image on the Pinterest so that if any other user re-pin the same image he will be redirected to the blog whose image was re-pin. Pinterest also help in creating business page aimed at promoting their business online.
