Facebook is owned and operated by Facebook inc which was
launched in February 2004.It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his fellow
Harvard University students. In earlier phase it was limited to Harvard
students but later on it was expanded to other students also.
In January 2004 Mark Zuckerberg started writing code for
facebook after launch of Facebook it was restricted only to the students of
Harvard University after a span of one month half of the undergraduates signed
in to the services of Facebook.
In March 2004 it was than expanded Columbia, Yale and
Stanford which gradually lead to its expansion in Canada and United States. On
September 26, 2006 it was opened for everyone above the age of 13 possessing a
valid email address.
