Linkedin Linking

Social networking site that only focus on professional occupation is "LinkedIn". It was founded in December 2002 and was started in May 2003 which was basically used for Professional connections and Networks. LinkedIn portal is available in various languages that include English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Turkish.

The LinkedIn company was founded by Reid Hoffman and founding team members of PayPal.LinkedIn has reported more than 200million acquired users in more than 200 countries in the year 2012.
LinkedIn has floated its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in January 2011 and traded its first share in May 2011 under NYSE (New York Stock Exchange).

Main purpose of building this site was to provide registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people with whom they are involved in level of relationships.

Tweet and Twitter Has History


Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey in March 2006 which was launched by July in the same Year.It was better known for Micro blogging service where user is able to send and read text messages up to 140 characters better known as "Tweets"



2012 registered around 500 million users generating around 340million tweets daily and handling over 1.6billion search queries per day.Twitter was better known as "The SMS of the Internet".

It had 4,00,000 tweets posted per quarter in 2007 which grew to 100 million tweets in the year 2008 by the start of 2010 twitter recorded 70,000 registered applications.Twitter was ranked as 3rd highest used Social Networking site in January 2009.

History of Facebook-1

Facebook is owned and operated by Facebook inc which was launched in February 2004.It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his fellow Harvard University students. In earlier phase it was limited to Harvard students but later on it was expanded to other students also.



In January 2004 Mark Zuckerberg started writing code for facebook after launch of Facebook it was restricted only to the students of Harvard University after a span of one month half of the undergraduates signed in to the services of Facebook.

In March 2004 it was than expanded Columbia, Yale and Stanford which gradually lead to its expansion in Canada and United States. On September 26, 2006 it was opened for everyone above the age of 13 possessing a valid email address.
